j0439449Ipswich has two elementary schools, Winthrop and Doyon, serving kindergarten through grade 5. There is one middle school serving grades 6-8 and one High School.

Ipswich Public Schools is the main website for all school information, community, curriculum, bus schedules, etc.

Cuvilly Arts And Earth Center is a private, early childhood program/day care center school that serves 96 students in grades PK, K. Cuvilly Arts And Earth Center is coed and is Roman Catholic in orientation. Located at 10 Jeffrey’s Neck Road, Ipswich 978-356-4288.

Cornerstones is a private,  alternative school that serves 48 students in grades 3-7. Cornerstones is coed and is Nonsectarian in orientation. Located at 35 Mitchell Road, Ipswich 978-356-9321.

Head Start Preschool, Head Start Pathways for Children’s free preschool, invites Ipswich families to the 29 Emerson Ave. site in Gloucester. Transportation is offered to and from Ipswich and Essex with several drop-off and pick-up locations. Children who are 3 or older, but not yet old enough for kindergarten, may be eligible. Meals, transportation, health and nutrition services, family advocacy and support are provided free of charge. The preschool program is open four mornings a week, September through June.
